WHAT’S INCLUDED: $4,999* per person includes international round-trip airfare from JFK, 5 nights on a privately chartered 5-star sailing boat (double occupancy), first class hotel accommodations (double occupancy) at a hotel near the Great Pyramid and a deluxe Cairo airport hotel, 5 star hotel accommodations (double occupancy) in Jerusalem, boat and hotel taxes and service charges, gratuities for boat, hotel and restaurant staff, domestic Egypt flights from Cairo/Aswan, Luxor/Cairo, round-trip flights from Cairo to Tel Aviv, full buffet breakfast daily, most lunches and dinners, including a final celebration dinner and gathering, comprehensive siteseeing with entrance fees, modern first-class air-conditioned bus, all transfers including airport transfers for included flights and site seeing transfers, luggage handling, experiential extensive sightseeing as detailed in the itinerary, world-class Egyptologist and guide who will accompany the group 24/7 while in Egypt and an English speaking guide while in Israel, and Tour Director. Plus, much more! For single room, if available, add $2,999. (Cost quoted is based on minimum of 10 paying passengers. With less than 10 paying passengers there will be a surcharge of $275-$375 per person, the exact amount depending on final number of travelers; travelers will be advised of surcharge about 30 days before departure, and if it is required, please be advised that cancellation fees still apply.)
NOT INCLUDED: Visa and passport fees where required, airline baggage fees, meals not mentioned above, optional tours; foreign cities' and countries' departure taxes; airport/airline/government taxes, fees, fuel and other surcharges (these charges, currently $658, are set by the airline and country and could change prior to departure; if there is a decrease, the difference will be refunded to you), gratuities to your guides, and items of a personal nature such as laundry and beverages, air or land deviation fees for travel on other than stated group departure or return dates, (minimum $125 fee; the airline may also charge an additional fee of $150 or more), plus change fee where applicable ($100 additional per change made within 90 days of departure, where changes are possible), and other items not included above. Price increases from international merchants may occur. We will try to absorb these costs; however, they may have to be passed on.
DEPOSIT & PAYMENT: A $799 deposit secures your reservation! SPACE IS LIMITED. Reservations are accepted on a FIRST COME, FIRST-SERVED BASIS according to date of registration. Registrations with a credit card payment of the deposit confirms your space immediately; we accept VISA, MasterCard and Discover; those paying deposit by credit card are still eligible for the “cash discount” price of $4,999. Those paying the deposit by bank wire or ACH, your registration will be booked and held for seven calendar days pending receipt of your deposit payment, after which you will be sent a confirmation of receipt of your deposit. (If you wish to pay by bank wire transfer or ACH, please contact our office for details.) Final payment is due by December 1, 2022. If the final payment is not received 10 days after the payment due date, and required documents are not returned on time, reservations are subject to a $100 late fee, and may be subject to cancellation. Final payment can be paid with a bank wire or by credit card. For final payment by credit card, the tour price is $5,109.
*The “cash discount” price of $4,999 is the price when the final payment is made by bank wire transfer. The late payment fee will be applied.
NOTE ABOUT TRAVELER’S VITAL INFORMATION DOCUMENT (TVID): To coordinate your travel arrangements and complete your registration it is essential that this completed and signed document (TVID) be emailed within 10 days of when you receive it, or a late fee will be applied. IV. CANCELLATION & REFUNDS: Deposits are refundable, except for a $799 processing fee per person if cancellation is received in writing by December 1, 2022. No refunds after December 1, 2022. without exception. All cancellations must be in writing and reach our office by the applicable cancellation date above. Since the cancellation terms must be strictly applied no matter the reason for cancellation, travel insurance/trip cancellation insurance is strongly recommended; recommended insurance includes coverage for cancellation in case of illness or death in the family. V. RESPONSIBILITY: Power Places® Tours, Inc., with its place of business in Colorado, and its associates act only as agent for the Tour Operator(s) and the various hotels, airlines, bus companies, railroads, ship lines (called Travel Suppliers) providing accommodations, transportation or other services described in this itinerary. By acceptance of travel program membership/registration and/or such coupons, exchange orders, receipts, contracts and tickets, the travel program member agrees to the foregoing and acknowledges that:
All such coupons, exchange orders, receipts, contracts, and tickets issued by Power Places® Tours, Inc. are issued or delivered subject to any and all tariffs, terms, and conditions under which any such Travel Suppliers, their owners or contractors or any persons in their employ may have established.
Neither Power Places® Tours, Inc. nor any of its associates, agents, officers, or consultants shall be liable for any delay, change in schedule, loss, damage, or injury to property or persons including death caused by reason of the negligence, wrongful or intentional acts, acts of God, terrorist acts, governmental or political actions, civil unrest or hostilities, notwithstanding any travel advisories or warnings; or for defects of equipment of any Travel Supplier, for any expense or inconvenience caused by late arrivals of any conveyances of such Travel Suppliers or any changes of schedules, conveyances or accommodations determined by any Tour Operator, or for any cancellation or disruption of any such services provided by any such Travel Suppliers; or for any failure on the part of any such Tour Operator or Travel Supplier to perform by reason of financial difficulty or default, suspension of operation, or other reason; or for any refunds for travel accommodations not provided by any such Tour Operators or Travel Supplier in excess of amounts actually received by way of refund from any such Tour Operator or Travel Supplier, or not paid over to Power Places® Tours, Inc. by any such Tour Operator or Travel Supplier;
Travel Supplier(s)/Tour Operator(s) provide the travel services identified with this travel program, and the travel program member agrees to look solely to such Travel Supplier(s)/Tour Operator(s) for the provision to such travel services; the travel program member agrees to participate in the seminar on site unless other arrangements have been made previously prior to departure; the Tour Operator or Tour Director/Manager/Escort shall have the right to decline to accept or to retain any person as a travel program member should such travel program member's health, mental condition, physical infirmity or general deportment impede the operation of the travel program or the rights, welfare, or enjoyment of other travel program members, and no refund can be given in such cases. The right is reserved to substitute hotels or alter itineraries, and either the Tour Operator or Power Places® Tours, Inc. shall have the right to cancel any travel program prior to departure or to increase prices where the costs shall rise.
Neither Power Places® Tours, Inc. nor any of its associates, agents, officers, or consultants shall be financially responsible for refunds in the event of cancellation of all or part of any tour due to acts of nature, governmental actions, travel advisories or warnings, civil unrest or hostilities, or acts of terrorism, or for the default of any Tour Operator or Travel Supplier, or for any reason beyond control of Power Places® Tours, Inc. Power Places® Tours, Inc. is not responsible for any refunds should a presenter/speaker advertised as attending/speaking or leading a tour or conference cancel for any reason whatsoever. Power Places® Tours, Inc. is not responsible for any physical, mental, emotional, or other reaction, trauma, or ailment during the trip or occurring afterwards, that participants may experience at the sites or from any lecturers, workshops, or sessions of any kind, including private sessions with presenters.
In the unlikely event that a dispute arises between the tour member/traveler (or person registered to travel) and Power Places® Tours, Inc., a Colorado corporation, the tour member/traveler/person registered to travel also agrees that the dispute will be governed by Colorado law and the venue for any legal action will be in Denver; and agrees that under any and all circumstances the cost of the trip is a fair and reasonable limitation on damages, of any sort whatsoever, and that no refunds or damages can be given greater than the amount actually paid to Power Places Tours, Inc. Costs incurred due to credit card or other fees accessed to Power Places Tours, Inc. are not subject to refund.
Power Places® Tours, Inc. has recommended the purchase of appropriate travel accident insurance, baggage insurance, tour operator/carrier default protection insurance, and trip cancellation insurance, and has made available explanatory information and policies, and the travel program member has had the opportunity to purchase such insurance as protection against certain risks of travel to the planned destination. Travel program members are advised that travel insurance covers only what is included as stated as covered in the travel insurance brochure.
The airline or transportation companies concerned are not to be held responsible for any acts, omissions or events during the time passengers are not on board their planes or conveyances. The passenger contract in use by the carriers concerned, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the airline or transportation companies and the purchaser of this travel program and/or passengers. This brochure represents the entire agreement between the passenger(s) and Power Places® Tours, Inc.

Day 1, Feb. 21: Depart JFK for Cairo.
Day 2, Feb. 22: Arrive in Cairo and check into your deluxe hotel.
Day 3, Feb. 23: Experience the Great Pyramid and the timeless & mysterious Sphinx before the crowds descend on these magnificent sites. Return to hotel for breakfast.
This afternoon enjoy an extensive tour of the newly opened Great Egyptian Museum, scheduled to open November 2022. The largest archaeological museum in the world, it houses artifacts of ancient Egypt, including the complete Tutankhamun collection; many pieces are displayed for the first time. (B)
Day 4, Feb. 24: Tour of Old Cairo and the “Hanging Church”. It is the most famous Coptic Christian church in Cairo and is the site of several reports of Marian apparitions. Mark the Evangelist began the Coptic Orthodox Church in Alexandria in 42AD. The Copts still hold much of their liturgical services in Aramaic, the language of Jesus’ time.
See the Basilica of St Therese of the Child Jesus. St Therese is beloved by the Coptic Christians and Catholics alike. See the wall where many people have written prayers for her intercession, and also reports of many healings.
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Aswan. Upon arrival, transfer to board your 5-star luxurious boutique sailing boat, your “home” for the next 5 nights. Welcome aboard and be prepared to be waited on hand and foot! A delicious Welcome dinner awaits. (B/L/D included while you are on board this deluxe boat.)
Day 5, Feb. 25: Visit the island of Philae on our privately chartered water taxi. The temple to Isis here is considered to be the most beautiful in Egypt. The early Coptic Christian monks compared Isis to the Virgin Mary in converting the local Egyptians.
Experience the small but important site of Kom Ombo, a famous healing temple in ancient days.
This over 2000-year-old site features a unique engraving that is thought to be among the first representations of medical and surgical instruments. (B/L/D)
Day 6, Feb. 26: Disembark for the over 2500-year-old magnificent Temple at Edfu. Enjoy a calesh (horse and buggy ride) from the boat to the temple. Edfu Temple is the best preserved of all ancient Egyptian temples and is dedicated to the god Horus, the falcon-headed god. (B/L/D)
Day 7, Feb. 27: Go through the lock at Esna, arrive in Luxor, and dock. Luxor, ancient Thebes, contains 80% of the world’s antiquities. Experience Luxor Temple from the time of Ramses II. (B/L/D)
Day 8, Feb. 28: See the incredible temples complex of Karnak. Tour these magnificent ruins, the largest ancient temple complex in the world. No one sees these temples without a sense of awe and wonder at their grandeur.
Visit the Valley of the Kings, the location of the eternal resting places of the Pharaohs. Here is where King Tut's tomb and many more were discovered. Also, see the exquisite Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the only female Pharaoh of Egypt. (B/L/D)
Day 9, Mar.1: Fly to Tel Aviv, Israel. Drive to Jerusalem where you will stay the next four nights. (B/D)
Day 10, Mar. 2: Visit Mt. of Olives where you will have a magnificent panoramic view of Jerusalem. Continue on to the Garden of Gethsemane, the place where Jesus prayed, and his disciples slept the night before His crucifixion. It was here where Judas betrayed Jesus. Continue to Mt. Zion. Visit the Last Supper room and continue on to view the tomb of Israel’s greatest king, King David. It was through King David’s forefather, Boaz, and onto David, that Jesus’ lineage ran.
From Mt. Zion, we will continue to Bethlehem to see the Church of Nativity located at Manger Square. Overview of the Judean Desert and Shepherd's Field. If time permits, short, exciting tour of the Mahane Yehuda Marketplace (Shuk) and experience life as an Israeli. Return to the hotel in Jerusalem for your overnight. (B/D)
Day 11, Mar. 3: Visit the Christian Quarter where you will enter the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, built on top of the place traditionally recognized as Jesus’ place of crucifixion. From there, make your way down the Via Dolorosa (Stations of the Cross). The day will continue with a trip to The Cardo, what used to be a main street in the Old City during the time when Judea was under Roman rule. Go down to the Western Wall and spend some time in reflection and/or prayer. Overnight in Jerusalem. (B/D)
Day 12, Mar. 4: Today experience the Jordan River Baptism site, the Capernaum, and the Sea of Galilee. After early breakfast we will drive north towards the Sea of Galilee via the Jordan Valley. Our first stop will be at Qsar El Yehud which according to tradition, is where John the Baptist baptized Jesus. You will have an opportunity to be baptized. We will continue north and upon our arrival we will enjoy an exciting boat ride on the Galilee Sea. If time permits, we will visit the “Jesus Boat,” the ancient boat found sunk in the Sea of Galilee from the time of Jesus.
Ascend up to Mt. Beatitudes, where Jesus gave the Sermon on the Mount. Lunch by the Sea of Galilee. Continue the day in Capernaum, known as “The Town of Jesus.” Visit the synagogue and Peter’s house. Take a lunch break with a delicious St. Peter’s fish lunch, fresh from the Sea of Galilee. Next, we will visit Tabgha, the place where the miracle of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes took place. You will also have the amazing opportunity to see the famous mosaic under the altar of the ancient church of Tabgha. Return to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight. (B/L/D)
Day 13, Mar. 5: After an early breakfast, transfer to the airport for departure for Cairo where you will overnight near the airport.
Day 14, Mar. 6: Morning flight to JFK arriving that same afternoon.
